Agata Wyzgowska

IBCLC

About Me

After having my son at 18 and overcoming our own breastfeeding issues in the early weeks I trained as a breastfeeding supporter. Now with almost 9 years of experience supporting families with their feeding goals I am working in North West London seeing new families at home and online before and after their babies are born.

Over the years I have specialised in many areas such as: diagnosing tongue ties, treating issues such as mastitis and thrush. Any issues with the milk supply, whether it’s too low or too high. I also have in-depth knowledge into infant growth, what’s normal and what to do if things aren’t going quite right. I have worked with mothers who have gone through breast cancer treatment, mothers who induced lactation as they had their babies through surrogacy and mothers who stopped breastfeeding and wanted to re-lactate. I have supported many families of twins and multiples and premature babies. I also run antenatal workshops for new families and many courses for professionals such as Health Visitors, School Nurses and Children Centre Staff to give them insight into supporting mothers with their breastfeeding goals.

I have also had training in Infant and Perinatal Mental Health which has really given me a vast awareness of how the brain works and why so many changes happen in the early years of parenthood. I am passionate about equipping families with the tools they need to follow their babies biological needs and following their own natural instincts to help their babies develop in this world of schedules and numbers that can so easily become so overwhelming and alien.

I have a full DBS (previously called CRB) and I have been trained in Infant Life Support and Infection Control.

In September, 2021 I took my IBCLC exam and passed!! After 8 years old learning, growing and developing myself I am so happy to now share my knowledge.

Currently I offer antenatal and postnatal home visits and video calls to all families across North West London (and surrounding areas). I work very flexibly and as we know babies are very unpredictable in their daily activities so if you’d prefer an evening home visit that can also be arranged.
